The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving Salesforce data quality, developing Tableau dashboards and visualizations, and identifying opportunities to make reporting and business processes more effective. This position offers the opportunity to work independently, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, and provide guidance to a data science intern.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Data Quality & Management

  • Perform data cleanup within Salesforce, including identifying and merging duplicate records, correcting inaccurate information, and standardizing account and contact data.

  • Analyze datasets to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, duplicate records, and opportunities to improve data accuracy.

  • Use data extracts, scripts, deduplication tools, and analytical techniques to identify and resolve data quality issues.

  • Create and maintain Salesforce records as needed and support the development of consistent data categorization standards.

  • Contribute to data documentation efforts, including the development of a data dictionary and data map.

Tableau Reporting & Visualization

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Tableau dashboards and data visualizations, ranging from straightforward reports to moderately complex dashboards.

  • Review existing reports and dashboards to evaluate their usage, effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into useful, actionable visualizations.

  • Implement and maintain appropriate dashboard access controls, including row-level security and role-based permissions.

Data Governance & Process Improvement

  • Support data governance practices that promote data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and usability.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data management, reporting, and business processes.

  • Recommend and document improvements to data handling procedures and reporting workflows.

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and task direction to a data science intern.

  • Work collaboratively with program teams, IT, and organizational leadership.

  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical concepts clearly to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

  • Take initiative, make informed decisions, and manage priorities independently.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working with Salesforce data, including data cleanup, record merging, data standardization, and data quality analysis.

  • Proficiency in Tableau, including dashboard development, data visualization, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques and identifying patterns, inconsistencies, and anomalies in datasets.

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Indianapolis, with three days onsite and two days remote.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data governance, data dictionaries, data mapping, or data management standards.

  • Familiarity with SQL, Excel, scripting, or data deduplication tools.

  • Experience with Tableau row-level security and role-based access controls.

  • Experience reviewing and optimizing existing reports and dashboards.

  • Previous experience mentoring interns, providing task direction, or leading work informally.
